A lovely note from one of our Mums:
"Sometimes it takes the advice from a friend to make you make a change. My daughter Evie is a real little dancer at home and I am glad I took your advice to bring her along to Humphries for a Saturday session. We have only recently started and I can only say that I was impressed from the moment I entered the room. The class prior to the beginners was full of young people , all diligently learning their dance steps with smiles on their faces. It was room full of energy. I was even more delighted when Evie’s teacher was (as we later discovered) Reece. Evie was completely attentive as a result of his teaching style, his enthusiasm and ability to make each child feel like they had learned the Rumba when it was the Hokey Pokey! I loved it, Evie is waiting at the door on Saturday’s and I can only hope that her joy for dance and skills will come to fruition at Humphries Dance Studio."
The Pamela Humphreys Dance Program
Pre-Primary to Year 12
The Pamela Humphreys Dance Program brings over 40 years experience in teaching Primary and Secondary students to dance. Our program focuses on music, rhythm, social interaction, confidence and fun. The program is currently taught at over 100 schools in Western Australia, with many happy to provide a reference if required.
The Success of the Pamela Humphreys Program is due largely to the fact that it has evolved in a way that keeps up with the students demands to learn current trends in dance in line with popular music i.e. Hip Hop, Salsa, Street Latin etc.
Where do teenage girls and boys learn the social skills required to behave appropriately in each other's company? The Pamela Humphreys Dance Program addresses these issues in a relaxed and positive way whilst teaching a real "life skill".
Together with the obvious fitness and co-ordination benefits of learning to dance, this wonderful program is something all schools should experience.
